Training Your Dog

Many of my friends have pet dogs. Some dogs so easily understand what their master is telling them and obey it at once. While there are other dogs that just don’t listen and finally need to be tied up. Training is the key factor that determines your dog’s behavior. A well trained dog will definitely make his master proud.
There are many advantages of training your dog. Training helps to build a healthy relation between you and your dog. Communication too becomes easier. Your dog will understand exactly what you want him to do. Basic training of obedience is important and teaches your dog proper manners. That would make him friendlier and would prevent unacceptable behavior such as jumping, barking or biting.

Dogs are intelligent, so it is easy to train them. Start training them as early as possible. Repeat one easy command time and again till he masters it. Correct him if he does it wrong. Praise and reward him once he gets it right. You can first train them in the basic obedience commands such as sit down, heel, come, no, leave it, fetch it, don’t jump and then go ahead with toilet training. Another good thing is to get dog training collars so you can also train them and let them know when they do good or bad things.

Always remember to be patient when training your dog and keep your training sessions short and fun.

Keeping Pet Fish

So you want to keep a pet fish. That’s a great idea. Fish make the most wonderful and attractive pets and they are less expensive as compared to other pets. Also, they are easier to handle.

You can keep fresh water fish or salt water fish. After you have made your choice, set up the tank in a good place. Add the filter, the gravel, fish props and real rocks to cover the bottom of the tank. You may also require heaters and lighting depending on the fish you keep. Take proper care as the first few days of starting a fish tank can be risky for the fish.

You can feed your fish formulated food available in flakes and pellets form. You can also give them bloodworms, brine shrimps or earthworm flakes. Remember to remove excess food or else the water would get polluted.

Clean your fish’s home (tank) thoroughly at least once a month. When cleaning the tank remember not to change all the water at once. Remove only 20% of the water. Also remember not to use any detergent to clean the tank. The new water should be replaced only once it reaches room temperature.

Now go ahead and watch your fish swim around. It would relax you and bring a smile on your face.
